Yeroo was the first independent and private Afan Oromo newspaper published with Qubee in Ethiopia. Yeroo media was originally founded in 2007 (EC1999), as Ethiopia was preparing to turn into its new millennium. It run alongside Jimma Times online. After several publications, it was closed down due to worsening hardship facing non-govt media at the time. Yeroo was relaunched in late 2018 with a renewed objective of developing Oromo press, empowering Oromo culture and providing a free & balanced news coverage not affiliated with any political organization.
